Announcing a Special Issue of the IEEE Transactions
on Plasma Science
on Megagauss Magnetic Fields: Production & Application
(Scheduled for July 2010)
This special issue is intended to include submissions related to the topics discussed and papers presented at the XII International Conference on Megagauss Magnetic Field Generation and Related Topics (Megagauss XII) that was held at the Lavrentyev Institute of Hydrodynamics, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in Novosibirsk, Russia, July 13 – 18, 2008. Topics for the conference were:
• Ultrahigh magnetic field generation
• Non-destructive production of pulsed, high magnetic fields
• Explosively driven magnetic flux compression generators and high current
sources
• High-current, high-power switching and power conditioning
• High energy liners
• Science in ultrahigh magnetic fields
• Mathematical modeling
• Diagnostics and experimental techniques
• Experiments for high-energy density in physics
• Related topics
We invite authors to submit extended versions of papers presented at the conference, as well as submit other papers in the same topical area. Papers should be submitted electronically at the Manuscript Central website, http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/tps-ieee. When submitting the manuscript, be sure to select “Special Issue – Megagauss Physics and Technology – 2010” as the Manuscript Type. The manuscript format and style should follow the guidelines given by the IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, which are found on the website http://www.ieee.org/web/publications/authors/transjnl/index.html. Deadline for submissions is December 1, 2009.
Authors are encouraged to contact one of the guest editors for additional information.
