Announcing a Special Issue of the IEEE Transactions
on Plasma Science
for Invited Papers from the 36th International Conference
on Plasma Science 2009
(Scheduled for April 2010)
The 36th International Conference on Plasma Science (ICOPS 2009) will be held on May 31 ~ June 5, 2009, in San Diego, California in conjunction with the 23rd Symposium on Fusion Engineering (http://cer.ucsd.edu/icopssofe09/). The ICOPS covers engineering and scientific advances in a number of fields of plasma science and technology with attendees from worldwide. It is one of the most important conferences in this field. The objective of this Special Issue is to bring the most up-to-date developments reported at ICOPS 2009 to the readership of IEEE Transactions of Plasma Science. These manuscripts will undergo standard peer-review process typical for all IEEE Transactions and Journals.
The manuscript submission deadline is July 30,
2009. Authors
should submit their completed manuscripts to the IEEE Transactions on Plasma
Science electronic submission and review website, http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/tps-ieee.
This Special Issue is restricted to plenary/invited papers at ICOPS 2009. These
papers are subject to peer review. The following topics will be covered:
• Basic Processes in Fully and Partially Ionized Plasmas
• Microwave Generation and Plasma Interaction
• Charged Particle Beams and Sources
• High Energy Density Plasmas and their Interactions
• Industrial, Commercial and Medical Applications of Plasmas
• Plasma Diagnostics
• Pulsed Power and Other Plasma Applications
The following persons will serve as the Guest Editors for this Special Issue:
Prof. Farhat Beg |
Dr. Monica Blank |
